Having always maintained a firm foothold in black and white still photography, the artistic practice of Peter Hayes has been known to include film, video, installation, and curation. Currently he is working on an extended series of rather formal, square-format digital images. He believes that creative thinking, defined broadly as the ability to form new connections between ideas, is of vital importance to the world today. His work has appeared in several group exhibitions both online and throughout the US. After receiving his MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, and extensive travel, Hayes currently lives and works from his home in Minneapolis.
